God has done this work from the beginning.

By Steven Prine, WCM Philippines Coordinator

It started with my first We Care campaign in Sept 1997, being introduced to Art Madlaing, which unknown to us at the time, set our work for the Philippines in action.

Meeting with Art Madlaing, a member of the Golden Gate church of Christ in late 2010, the seed was planted in our outreach to the Philippines.  Art asked me,”It would be so nice if we could take this We Care method to the Philippines and teach them how to teach the lost.”
From that point on, plans were made to visit the Philippines.  Our first trip took place on April 20 to May 7 where we saw 19 obey the Gospel of Christ. Three years later, Feb 20 to March 7, we saw 46 obey the Gospel of Christ.  This year, Feb. 3-19, we have seen 68 obey the Gospel of Christ while we were there and the known number has grown to 88 who have obeyed!  We have trained 750-900 minister, students at bibles school of preaching, and church leaders how to talk Jesus to the lost.

They are being successful and loving it.
My vision for the Philippines is to teach, train, and better equip our Filipino brothers to enable them to reach out to the lost and grow our Lord’s Kingdom! And our brothers are receptive! One brother told us,” We have seen missionaries come and go for 30 years, but we have never seen anything like this!

That is why we are so excited!” We know of hundreds and even more who have obeyed the Gospel because of our training there. The invitations to return are numerous and plans are being made to return as early as 2018.
